Interviewer: First and foremost congratulations on your latest project “BaltimoreTrapSOULMuzik” very jazzy, lyrical and also not a preachy them although your intro on the album had me believing that was going to be the case.
Danny Viiirgo: Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I am super humbled and grateful to be sitting here with you. And yes there was definitely an effort to place a message inside of this album, but I did not want to oppose anyone’s way of music. I just figured out a way to express the difference in music through my ability to communicate sound frequencies to the listener.
Interviewer: Despite how great of a musician that you are you also are extremely grounded an humble in your approach. Can you talk a little bit about where that came from?
Danny Viiirgo: I would jus have to say growing up in Baltimore made me this way. I say that because the environment in the inner city is very sensitive in nature. And what I mean by that is that if you are not respectful, aware of your surrounds and thoughtful of everything around you – you will become a silent target. So it has become a reflex of mine to respect myself and everything around me.
Interviewer: Wow! Very profound way to see things!
Danny Viiirgo: Thank you Queen!
Interviewer: I know you have a lot going on so I will wrap this interview with my last question: On “Us vs US” track 09 on BaltimoreTrapSOULMuzik had such an impact on my mood when I first heard it : I replayed it for at least an hour before I realized exactly what the actual meaning of it was. It blew my mind as I am cleaning my room listening I say “holy crap! Is he saying what I think he’s say!?”. Please tell me your thinking process when creating this record?
Danny Viiirgo: I am grateful! You really don’t understand what it means to me when people spend most of their time & days listening to my music! It is just a feeling I can’t describe! But to stay on topic – when I made “Us vs US” the intention was to give a un forgettable message with some eye opening angles that the listener will have the option to go an verify his or herself. For the sake of the people who hasn’t heard US vs Us I will not spill the beans.
