Bharatiya Janata Party National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya on Wednesday said at an event that Prime Minister Narendra Modi played an “important role” in the fall of Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh. He was speaking at a farmers’ meet in Indore, Madhya Pradesh which was organised to raise awareness among the farmers about the contentious new farm laws.
Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh was toppled after twenty-two Congress MLAs, most of them Jyotiraditya Scindia’s associates, had resigned. It reduced the Nath government to a minority, paving the way for the BJP to come to power. Scindia joined the BJP in March and is now a Rajya Sabha member.
